Nenni & Associates recently partnered with an MEP construction company to identify a Director of Electrical Construction.
The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction company, with over 50 years of in-house engineering expertise, sought an experienced electrical project manager with a proven track record of estimating and growing a smaller electrical contracting business. Other requirements included at least ten years of experience in electrical construction and a Midwest location. It was also critical that they have the capacity to take on a leadership position and be responsible for an 8-person team, as well as implementing strategic goals and growth targets for the division. The right candidate would show an ability to be hands-on with general contractor clients.
Ryan McGushin and Zach Zilm of Nenni & Associates worked together to select two top-tier candidates from the Electrical Engineering and Electrical Contracting industries. After careful consideration, the final candidate was chosen. The top finalist was considered because they met the client's criteria, including discussion about growth targets, and he would lead those efforts. He also showed interest in the company's unique culture.
An offer was made, and the candidate was compelled to accept it in view of the fact that it was a strong and included incentives when targets are met.
Ryan McGushin has successfully recruited and developed new businesses with many companies across construction, engineering services, renewable energy, and sustainability. Ryan started by sourcing and working solely with qualified candidates to support existing Nenni clientele.
Zach Zilm joined Nenni & Associates in 2022 and has supported efforts on a wide variety of clients, including construction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
